My interests in birds started way back in life. As a child I remember having parakeets around the house a few different times. However it wasn't until the 1970's when a show called Barreta was on television. Robert Blake played a New York city detective that had a cockatoo. The birds name was Fred. On the show from time to time Fred did many amazing things. I've never had a cockatoo but I did have a few cockatiels. This picture is my sun conure "Sunny". Sun Conure's are one of the more popular parrots in the pet trade right now.
